Excel LARGE Function

The ‘LARGE’ function in Excel will identify the nth largest value within a specified cell range.

The LARGE function can be useful in a number of circumstances. For example, you could use LARGE to calculate the 10th largest figure in a range (i.e. top 10 boundary), which could then be used to calculate the sum of all values less than or equal to that value (i.e. sum total of top 10).

Syntax

=LARGE(array,k)

Arguments

  • Array – The cell range you want to look at
  • K – The nth largest value in the specified range
