The ‘ISODD’ formula in Excel is used to ascertain whether or not a value is odd. It returns TRUE if the input number is odd, or FALSE if it is not. Where the input value is not numerical, a #VALUE error is returned.

The ISODD function is part of a larger group of IS functions that all return logical values (i.e. TRUE or FALSE). The other IS functions are ISEVEN, ISBLANK, ISNUMBER and ISTEXT.
